Suggested Bike Routes

Anna Maria Island is only 7 miles long by 3 miles wide, but there's plenty to do and see. Start out on the North end of the island where you can bike around the most Northern part of the island which is called Bean Point. As you're coming down North Shore or North Bay you may be ready to stop in for a quick drink or bite to eat at the Rod N Reel Pier or continue on down the road to stop at the park for a picnic and for the kids to blow off some energy. Hop back on the bikes and check out the Anna Maria Island City Pier where you can take in the open ocean views, watch the locals and vacationers fishing or have lunch in their pub. When you're done taking in the sights at the City Pier, head down Pine Ave and check out the shops, Anna Maria Museum and old City Jail or stop in for an ice cream. Take a right onto Gulf Dr and make sure to pop into Ginny and Janey's for a look around the eclectic shop or enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee and a sweet treat. Weren't ready to eat at the Rod N Reel or City Pier? Head to the Sand Bar and enjoy a meal on the beach.

Continue down Gulf Dr or straight down Marina Dr and you'll find more shops, great restaurants and the Manatee Public Beach. If you still have the energy, you can make your way to Bradenton Beach and a whole new selection of shops, beaches, restaurants and ice cream shops. Be sure to check out the Historic Bridge Street.
